MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major global progress into the Latin pop scene. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Most Popular Song in 2017. The album he released as his debut ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution company. It reached the top 8 spot in the Top Latin Albums Chart. Following that year, he collaborated with Ozuna in their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He also collaborated on a track with Noriel on Mala Influencia in 2020 and next year, released his sophomore album which was the chart-topping Dopamina. The singer appeared in 2021 on a duet TINI on her streaming hit song Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo came from a musical family both his parents also are musicians. In interviews he's talked about participating in music as compulsory. When he was a kid, he began learning to play ukulele, saxophone and piano. Though his original goal was becoming a veterinarian his brother Julian got him to attend singing lessons with an instructor in Cuban.
