Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to traditional music, old boleros as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is passionate about the operas and tangos and all dramatic performances. Ana started learning how to play the piano and sing in the early years together with her mom. She received more formal singing instruction when she reached the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. While a young student and professional, she was a part of many chamber groups and opera choirs in Guadalajara and Mexico City. In 2000 she moved back to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she settled in her home in southern California. She currently performs traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. Her love and passion for music, art, and performing keep her engaged with a variety of local initiatives as a teacher and performer. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she can instill a passion, particularly in the younger generations in keeping the music alive.
